Paradise is a Greek Word and Skopelos Island is definitely both Greek and Paradise!

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThat’s what Gus Portokalos from the movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding would probably say about words which (sometimes probably) derive from the Greek Language and paradise is surely one of them.

Skopelos as www.greecetravel.com suggests, is one of the greenest islands of the Aegean Sea. In 1997, Skopelos was officially nominated as “The Green and Blue Island” from the BIOPOLITICS INTERNATIONAL ORGANISATION (B.I.O.).

The beautiful island where the Mama Mia was filmed, is an extremely attractive and not so touristic option for summer vacations with exotic beaches and crystal clear sea. Skopelos is located east of mainland Greece, northeast of Euboea and it is the largest island of the Sporades group of islands. A real paradise among the livings.

A few pictures can really convince you.

Could Skopelos be your next summer destination?
